- Andrew, brother of Peter and son of Jonas. He also was a fisherman who lived in
Betsaida and Capernaum. He was crucified on an X shaped cross which is still
called Andrew's Cross
- James The Greater or Elder, son of Zebedee and brother to John the Apostle. He
was a fisherman who lived in Bethsaida, Capernaum and Jerusalem. He was beheaded
by Herod A.D. 41 at Jerusalem.
- John, son of Zebedee and brother to James. He was a fisherman who lived in
Bethsaida, Capernaum and Jerusalem. He was known as the beloved Disciple.
Banished to Patmos A.D. 95. Later he was released and died a natural death.
- James, The lesser or younger, son of Alpheus and the brother of the Apostle Jude.
He was either crucified in Egypt or thrown from a pinnacle.
- Jude or Thaddeus, brother of James the lesser and son of Alpheus. He was one of
the little known Apostles and lived in Galilee. Martyred in Persia.
- Philip, lived in Bathsaida. Died martyr at Hierapolis.
- Bartholomew, son of Talmai. He was flayed alive with knives.
- Matthew or Levi, son of Alpheus. He was a publican or tax collector who lived in
Capernaum. He died a martyr in Ethiopia.
- Thomas, lived in Galilee. He was shot by an arrow while praying.
- Simon the Zealot. He lived in Galilee. He was martyred by being crucified.
- Jadas Iscariot the traitor, was the son of Simon who lived in Kerioth of Judah.
He hanged himself after he betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver.
